LENA'S FARM COVID SUPPORT

Zimbabwe is experiencing a human rights crisis, as well as a health and food crisis amplified by COVID-19. Those brave enough to protest political corruption and economic instability, are met with brutal force of military and police deployed by the government. "Plans to begin reviving my grandmothers' farm have to be put on hold until health and political breakthroughs are achieved. 2020 & BEYOND: My Story

   I was out of regular work for about a year juggling family and my business, and in July 2019 I started working part-time for a global brand and retailer. This helped take some pressure off my business as I strongly felt I needed to recalibrate.   After diving into research for 6 months, I discovered that the country I am from, Zimbabwe, was producing a quality of cotton that ranked 3rd on the worlds marketplace as recent as 2018.
